Fast Stroking Time Requirement Met with Actuator Replacement

Woodside Energy, Ltd. in Australia has recently replaced a compressor anti-surge-valve actuator at its LNG3 facility in Karratha because it could not meet the required stroking time needed for this critical-service application.

The new CCI pneumatic actuator more than meets the 2-second time to open in trip and modulating modes. It will also provide the optimum system control needed. This relatively standard CCI actuator operates on 50 psig (350 KpaG) air from a 4 to 20 mA signal and fails in the open position to assure complete compressor protection.
