To ensure peak performance, valve actuator maintenance requires the same amount of attention as valve maintenance. After all, the control valve is only as good as the actuator that controls it.

Faulty or poorly maintained actuators can result in loss of control and performance, which can lead to premature trim failure, inefficient plant operation, or unscheduled plant downtime.

Don’t be fooled by shops claiming to be working with or licensed by CCI to perform original equipment manufacturer (OEM) repairs on Sulzer products. These fraudulent service providers use unauthorized duplicate parts or reverse-engineered parts and are unable to guarantee that they will be right for your actuator.

CCI’s Houston Service Center can repair your Sulzer products and guarantee them as the OEM. If downtime and quick turnaround are required, the Houston Service Center offers an actuator exchange program designed to help the customer reduce downtime and maintenance costs. A duplicate SMR or SMF rebuilt actuator can be manufactured and shipped prior to a scheduled outage. The reconditioned actuator is put in place of the actuator in need of repair. Once the outage is over, the removed actuator is returned to the CCI Houston Service Center as a core exchange.

If downtime is not a concern, the Service Center also provides rebuilds on actuators sent to our facility for repairs. A quote for rebuilding your SMR or SMF actuator can be provided upon inspection. Remember, if you are not dealing with CCI-Sulzer for your parts and actuator needs, then you are not getting OEM parts or service.
